Life Skills

Our Counselling Service is a professional organisation with over fifty Counsellors. We offer counselling to anyone who needs it, working without judgement and respecting each individual fully. Counselling involves a therapeutic relationship with a Counsellor to help clients find a way forward with any aspect of life. Some of the concerns which clients seek to address in counselling include:

However, you can bring anything to Counselling as our desire is to work with you as a whole person. We do not have a fixed limit on the number of sessions that are available to you: this will be decided between you and your Counsellor.

To access Counselling, please contact our service on 01254 233 467 or call in at No.21 Abbey Street, Accrington BB5 1EN, Monday to Friday, 9.30 to 4pm.

We will take your number so that we can contact you to arrange an assessment. Assessments take half an hour and are usually available within a week. During the assessment, we will tell you about our Counselling Service and explain what we can offer you. Following the assessment, we will allocate you to a suitable Counsellor or offer other support if necessary. All of our Counsellors are carefully checked and have undertaken suitable training.
